2025 DGC Training Update
Dear Manitoba Members,
We are writing to you so that you are advised that as of May 1, 2025 all courses required for new member applicants and all those in the MAP Program will be offered by the DGC internally, pursuant to a DGC Manitoba board motion made at the March 20, 2025 board meeting.
Following are the courses required:
REQUIRED TRAINING FOR MEMBERSHIP AS OF MAY 1 2025
- Ready, Set, Go! – Intro to DGC Manitoba
- WHMIS
- DGC Membership Fundamentals
- DGC Standard Agreement Fundamentals
DGC Departmental Fundamentals (one of the following):
- AD Dept Fundamentals
- Locations Fundamentals
- Production Office Fundamentals
- Accounting Fundamentals
Please review the Training Bulletin, or visit the DGC website for all course information including dates that courses are being offered and all course descriptions.
These courses replace the requirements of the online courses Set Orientation, Intro to Paper, Locations, Propane & Safety Awareness.
If you are speaking with individuals who are seeking to join the DGC, we encourage you to advise them to speak with our staff about how these changes may affect them.
For any individual that has taken any of the Film Training Manitoba courses prior to May 1, there will be a transition period of 6 months whereupon those courses will be acceptable towards entry.
