The Directors Guild of Canada, British Columbia District Council covers the following categories:

  • 2nd Unit Director
  • Production Manager
  • Unit Manager
  • 1st Assistant Director
  • 2nd Assistant Director
  • 3rd Assistant Director
  • Additional Assistant Director Background Coordinator
  • Location Manager
  • Assistant Location Manager
  • Location Scout
  • Production Assistant

The DGC is a national organization and Members are able to work anywhere in Canada. However, each District Council covers different categories under their respective Collective Agreements. Please go to the National website and click on the the "District Councils" drop down menu in the top right corner to see the other 6 District Councils.

If you are just starting out in the business and want to join the DGC as a Production Assistant, please click on the "Entry Level Permittee Logbook Holder Program" tab. If you are a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident and have experience in any other of our categories, please click on the "Joining as a Full Member" tab.
