The nominations for the 40th Gémeaux Awards were announced this week, and once again this year, DGC Quebec members are shining!
Six Guild members are finalists in the Best Direction categories: Podz for episode 4 of La collecte (drama series), Anne De Léan for episode 41 of Indéfendable – Season 3 (annual drama series), Jeanne Leblanc for episode 6 of Bellefleur (comedy or comedy-drama), Julie Hogue for episode 4 of L'Œil du cyclone – Season 5 (comedy or comedy-drama), Isabelle Garneau for episode 5 of Splendeur et influence (humor) with her colleague Jean-François Chagnon, and Louis Choquette for episode 1 of Vestiaires (humor).
As for the awards for Best Art Direction, several of our members are nominated in the "Fiction" category: Frédéric Page for episode 5 of Corbeaux, Yola Van Leeuwenkamp for episode 1 of In Memoriam, Jean Babin and Ève Turcotte for episode 1 of IXE-13, Éric Barbeau for episode 12 of Le temps des framboises – Season 2 with his colleague Mathilde Donnard, and Joëlle Péloquin for episode 8 of Qui a poussé Mélodie? with her colleague Audrey Samb. Corinne Montpetit, for her part, is nominated in the "All Categories Non-Fiction" category for her work on Bye Bye 2024.
