Matthew has a unique set of skills gained over 25 years in the film industry. Combining expertise in VFX and online editing, along with experience as a VFX Supervisor and Artist, a strong work ethic, and a passion for storytelling, Matthew will be an invaluable contributor to your creative editorial team.

As your VFX Editor, Matthew will:

• Provide a visual launching point for your VFX discussions and development
• Assemble drafts of VFX concepts and present colour corrected integrated temps
• Track every step of your vendor's VFX work, from turnover to final delivery
• Collaborate closely with vendors and producers to present the latest VFX in context
• Deliver final 2D VFX composites of his own work directly to Online when required

Matthew's experience in these facets of production allow him to work effectively as a VFX Editor:

• With past experience as a 2D VFX Composite Artist he is able to pre-assemble VFX elements and present them in context quickly and efficiently
• As a trained and experienced Avid Online Editor, he is able to work closely with your editorial team and operate as an effective liaison between Offline and Online editorial for smooth and steady workflow
• While working for reputable VFX vendors, his experience using Shotgun as a VFX Editor has led him to develop his own custom FileMaker database for tracking thousands of shots from concept to final
• His experience as a VFX Supervisor allows him to offer solutions and strategies to common challenges and production hurdles
• And with years of working as an Operations Manager at a successful post-production facility earlier in his career, having handled hundreds of episodes for television, he has more than a firm grasp on the technical requirements of film craft
