Brian Rice is a director, show runner and writer. Brian entered the business in the art department where he learned the joys and challenges of production from the inside out. Brian is a visual storyteller, always on the hunt for emotional and powerful stories to be told with authentic characters, strong writing, beautiful photography and compelling importance. Brian's projects include: Director for the 2-hour special "Fear Thy Neighbor". Show Runner / Director / Writer for Encounter: UFO. Co-Executive Producer / Series Producer / Director / Writer for three seasons of ‘History Erased’. Series Producer / Director for a three-hour special for Canada's 150th birthday: "The World Without Canada". Director / Writer across 8 seasons of "Fear Thy Neighbor". Writer / Director of the 360 Virtual Reality film "War Of The Dead" that premiered at Cannes 2016. Brian has won numerous awards and has been nominations for 6 Canadian Screen awards for Producing, Directing, Writing and Production Design. Brian’s Feature Doc on Coast Salish language "A Future Past Voice’ won the "Best of Festival" award at the Cowichan International Aboriginal Film Festival. Brian brings a strong sense of story, compassion, humour and appreciation to his projects, delivering powerful results and emotional stories.
