Trainee Assistant Sound Editor - GAP
Ontario District Council
It was while attending the film program at the Etobicoke School of the Arts that I discovered my interest in sound, and where I decided to pursue a career in cinema, as I got to experience first-hand with my own short films the impact audio can have on the rest of a film. I went on to study in Montreal, earning a BFA in Film Production from Concordia University. Since leaving school, I have concentrated on developing my skills in sound editing and design through freelancing on short films. Working primarily in Pro Tools and Adobe Audition, I have experience in a number of different sections, including dialogue editing, sound design, sound effects and foley. Adding this to my experience with location sound mixing, I have developed a strong understanding of the entire audio process. Aiming to build a career here in Canada, I sought out the DGC Guild Apprenticeship Program with the hopes of working directly with industry professionals, bringing my enthusiasm and versatility to the productions I work on. I am also fluent in both English and French.
