Matthew Currie Holmes is a multiple award winning actor having appeared in over 40 films and television series, most notably alongside Harrison Ford in Firewall, The Fog (Maggie Grace) and Wrong Turn 2 (Henry Rollins). Matthew produced, co-wrote and starred in the short film My Charlotte, (Official Cinéfondation Selection at Cannes), The Dump (WINNER: Best Director Viscera Film Festival 2012) and produced The Baristafor Fangoria Entertainment (Screamfest 2013) and the award winning horror shorts: Halloween Maskand Witches Brew for Shock Till You Drop. Currie Holmes' directorial debut, the supernatural thriller Buckout Road starring Danny Glover, Evan Ross, Dominique Provost-Chalkey and Henry Czerny is currently on VOD and SVOD Currie Holmes recently wrote and directed the music-based drama Traces, for which he also composed the title track. The film stars Pablo Schreiber (Orange is the New Black, American Gods), Sosie Bacon (13 Reasons Why) and rock 'n' roll icon Rick Springfield. A member in good standing with the WGC, DGC, SAG-AFTRA, ACTRA and UBCP, Matthew has a slate of high concept/modest budget genre films in various stages of development, most notably the award winning vampire horror/comedy SELF STORAGE, which he co-wrote and NEVER ALONE, a female fronted subversive thriller set at a closed for the season ski resort. Matthew Currie Holmes is slated to direct both.
