Jim Goodall is a Toronto based filmmaker. He is a Production Designer and Emmy Award winning Art Director as well as a part time professor in the Faculty of Arts, Animation and Design at Sheridan College. Jim most recently completed work on season 4 and 5 of Star Trek Discovery where, as Art Director, he oversaw the design and execution of the very first large-scale virtual production environments in Canada. In 2021 Jim won an Emmy for Outstanding Art Direction for his work on Endlings. As a writer and director Jim has made live action and animation short films that have screened in festivals around the world, including: AIR BALLOON CIRCUS, which premiered at the Chicago International Children's Film Festival and was nominated for best dramatic cinematography at the 2013 CSC awards, and THE INTERIOR MONOLOGUE OF GILL THE GOLDFISH which premiered at the 2007 Palm Springs International Festival of Short Films.
