Yung Chang is the multi-award-winning director of Up the Yangtze (2007), China Heavyweight (2012), The Fruit Hunters (2013) and Gatekeeper (2016). His first feature script, Eggplant, was a part of the 2018 TIFF Writers Studio and the 2015 Sundance Institute Screenwriting and Directing labs. His last feature documentary, This is Not a Movie (IDFA Frontlight 2019), is about Robert Fisk, the controversial Middle East correspondent. His films have played top-tier international film festivals, including IDFA, and have been broadcast around the world. In addition to Wuhan Wuhan, Chang co-directed and produced the short documentary, Pandemic19, a stark reminder of the American mishandling of COVID-19 as told through the voices of three frontline doctors.
