Matt has worked in location management since 1993 when he started as a location scout on "Legends of the Fall". Matt is a member of the Location Managers Guild International, and his accolades at the LMGI awards include: 2023 Outstanding Locations in a Contemporary TV Series (Team Winner) The Last of Us, and nominated for 2022 Outstanding Locations in a TV Serial, Anthology, or Limited Series for Under the Banner of Heaven, 2022 Outstanding Period Locations for a TV series for Pachinko,  2021 for Outstanding Locations in a TV Serial, Anthology, or Limited Series for Stephen King’s "The Stand", and 2015 Outstanding Period Locations for a TV Series Fargo Year Two. Matt was elected to the Board of Directors of the LMGI in 2016, and served until fall of 2019. In 2021 Matt was accepted as a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
