In addition to being a skilled First Assistant Picture Editor providing solid support to the editors and proficient in assembling scenes, Marcel is also an excellent VFX editor, capable of creating great visual effects using Avid and After Effects. He has a comprehensive understanding of the visual effects pipeline from pre-production planning to final delivery. His strengths include compositing, keying, matte painting, rotoscoping, tracking, and color correction.
Marcel also has extensive experience with ScriptSync.

After a long career in production, he transitioned to post-production in 1995 and became a member of the DGC in 2001. He has over 30 years of experience with Avid, After Effects, and Photoshop, and has advanced knowledge of DaVinci Resolve. Over the years, several picture editors have enjoyed the quality of his work, including Eric Goddard, Gloria Tong, Ryan Kovack, Curtis Lobb, Chris Minns, Jeff Geisel, Bruce Lange, Gordon Thorne, Mark Sanders, Vesna Svilanovic, Michael Todd, Terrance Odette, Jim Munro, Peter Light, Dave Thompson, and Stephen Withrow.
