Profile Overview

Hello! I'm a Queer Film Editor from Birmingham, UK and I've been based in Toronto since 2018. I graduated from the Northern Film School in Leeds with a BA (Hons) in 2014 and have worked in the TV/Film industry for the last 7 years, specifically in Online Editing for the last 3 years. For the last 8 years, I've also been very involved in local comedy communities, specifically improvised and sketch comedy and have found it to massively impact my filmmaking and editing - not just stylistically or technically, but also from a super collaborative, team building stand point, finding the humour in situations and thinking fast.

My award winning debut comedy short, 'Meg Writes a Reference Letter' which debuted on CBC and CBC Gem in August 2022 and subsquently had a very successful festival circuit; landed me and my co-creators a Bell Fibe TV1 comedy series named 'Everybody's Meg' based off the short film, which premiered across Canada in June 2024. I did all Picture Editing, VFX, some music production and Post Supervision for. We got greenlight for season 2 once the pilot aired and will go to camera in Januray 2025. I also was the Picture Editor and VFX Editor for 3 upcoming Comedy/Dramedy Short Films releasing in 2024. I am a very quick and decisive editor and works particulary well within Comedy.

In my free time, I love going on an outdoor adventure, seeing live music with friends, and being with my sweet cocker spaniel, Toast! I'm very excited about being in the GAP programme and ready to learn all about the offline world from professional mentors.
