HIRING APPRENTICES (GAP)
- Apprentices are permittees and are covered under the DGC-CMPA Standard Agreement when they are working on DGC Signatory productions, and must complete a DGC Schedule 8 Deal Memo upon engagement.
- Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum rates in the current Standard Agreement (i.e. the Trainee or Production Assistant rate)-Apprentices are paid the same fringes and benefits applicable to Members.
- Apprentices may only work in their Apprentice job category except on Tier F productions. In order to work in a higher category on Tier F productions, Apprentices must fill out a work permit application and pay the applicable permit fees.
- Apprentices in the Post Production departments (Post Production, Sound Editing and Picture Editing) can work in all three post departments during their Apprenticeship.
- Set PAs GAP are allowed to work a certain number of days as a Locations PA GAP and vice versa. See the Gap FAQ for more details.
- Please see the Availability List. Search outcomes will display department, name, contact information, title, current work, and date available. You can refine your search to only Apprentices who are available.
