Movie Magic Budgeting 10 (MMB 10)

Required to upgrade to Production Manager*.

This course is a prerequisite for the PM Budgeting Essentials course (effective July 1, 2025)*.

DURATION: 4-hour class

FORMATS OFFERED: In-person

Description

This course will be an introduction to Movie Magic Budgeting 10 (MMB10) budgeting software. We will cover the purpose of a budget, the differences between Canadian-produced and Foreign-produced budgets, and co-production budgets. We will look at each module of the software from importing/opening a budget template to creating a full production budget ready to export. We will use a Pilot budget, (which can be converted to a Feature budget), and a TV Series budget which is comprised of a Pattern and Amort budget (sometimes consolidated into one budget) to explore efficient methods of using MMB10.
